but I have to address this issue. I was sent an e-mail today in regards to the new dollar coins. Notice anything new? Yep, In God We Trust has been removed. I'm so disturbed by this. I don't want to open a can of worms, but I feel this is wrong. Everything, everything we stand for in America was built on trusting God and praying for guidance in the New World way back in the 1700's. 
This is George Washington praying in the snow for guidance and religious freedom from England. Now how can anyone deny that our country was not built on prayer and God? I have to say I'm a little bugged that such a small percent of non-believers were able to remove In God We Trust from our currency. It's just not fair! I realize that sounds childish, but really, it's not fair.

Like, ok, it's still here, but let's hide it. What!?!

I have to agree with you, it is a HUGE slap in the face! It seems like if it is on the side, you won't notice it as much and eventually they could take it off and who would notice!

I get so bugged also about taking God out of the American things. On another note not related to the In God We Trust issue, Bryce's school couldn't even wear Halloween costumes to school this past Hallowen because it offended Jehovah's Witnesses. I'm so bugged by that!!!!!!

Dude, the coin thing is on snopes...the "In God We Trust" is on there, it's just on the rim of the coins now.
Did you ever notice that the ridges on the sides of quarters get rubbed off after they have been in use for awhile? I am sure the same thing will happen to the dollars.
