I imagine that one day, out of the clear blue, my husband will come home, swoop me into his arms, kiss me on the mouth and pull out some flowers from behind his back-just because.
In my mind I picture sunflowers and daisies. In a fabulous vintage vase. And maybe some yum fruity candy because he was thinking about me and wanted to get me something pretty and fruity.
Well, the other day, as my scouts were leaving and their parents were standing in the door, there was no swooping or kissing on the mouth or fruity candy. I don't think that's how he planned to give me his surprise, as awkward as it was.
But I'll take these 3 beauties because it was the thought that counts.
