As I lay snuggled in my bed till 9am with my midgets this morning I realized these days are long gone starting Monday. My baby boy starts Kindergarten. I'm really okay with this. Hanging out with my Kylee for a bit while he's at school sounds fun. Todd got two whole years with just me and she has gotten none. But, I'm not a morning person at all! Don't worry, I'm up at 7am, but I'm not ready to be walking out the door taking my kids to school. We like to turn on cartoons and lay around eating cold cereal right out of the box for a little while.
School? I have a kid that's going to school? What?!?! I still feel like he should be 3, but Kylee's 3. And I feel like she's 1. Where has all the time gone?!? I feel like I woke up yesterday and I was buying backpacks, lunch boxes and new school clothes. Oh yeah, I was! He's so excited for his new shoes and his cool backpack that I bought at Wal-Mart for $5. Shh, don't tell. But, on Monday he's going to cry which is going to make me cry. I'll be standing there in the parking lot balling like a baby trying to pry him off of me like a leach. Maybe he'll surprise me and walk right in, but I'm so not counting on it. He totally cried when I took him to Primary a few weeks ago. I'm so not ready for this, but at the same time I am. Ok, maybe I'm not ready for this whole kindergarten thing. Any advise?

Kiley had afternoon kindergarten, so this year I am going to have a hard time getting up in the morning :S I am sure everything will go smoothly.
parent teacher night helped us a lot! you'll both do great... but secretly have tissues in your pocket just in case!
I feel for you! i'm actually dreading those days...kindof excited, but not. so I know what you mean. good luck with that!
Time flies!! My sister is going through the same thing! My oldest niece is going to kindergarten in 2 weeks!
I'm still stuck on the line that said you're laying in bed at 9 am. I would give anything to lay in bed until 9 am. Nope, I'm up at 2,3,4,5 and then up for good at 6. So, I'll switch you places!! I'll take a kindergartner and you can get up with a newborn!! I really cannot believe he is going to school. Troy and I have been married a really long time! (you know like eight years!!!) Good luck and I'm sure he'll do better than you think. They always do!
WOW! How exciting yet scary at the same time, I hope all goes well!
Good luck! I'm sure I'll cry next year when Morgan goes to kindergarten. I could cry just thinking about it. I'm sure after a week, you'll be singing a different tune :) I hope.
Kasey, crazy that he's ready to go to school, you're right where has the time gone? You're super mom, so no doubt things will turn out great. As far as advice, don't have any, but I'm sure I'll be asking you when I go through it.
Oh I'll bet he'll surprise you and be so excited to be there! When I took the twins to preschool I was not wanting the moment to end and Kira said to me "Mom, you can leave now."
So, if you are starting school already, when do you guys get out for the summer? We don't start until the 27th. The first week is the hardest, but it definitely gets easier.
