Lanscaper for hire!

My backyard was out of control!
My SIL Lacey always does her lawn, so I decided to bust out my inner Lacey and mow it myself.

Just Wandering Around

I'm not gonna lie.
I could walk around Target for hours.
But for as long as I could walk around Target...
I could walk around Walmart for longer.
Pretty sad that those 2 stores were the highlight of my day.
I totally scored a cute bag on clearance at Target.
Plus the amazing treasures in the dollar spot.
And Cheese Nips were a buck at Walmart.
Seriously, need I say more?

Gettin' the heck out of dodge!

Since we are such cool parents we strapped in the kids and headed
to Roosevelt Lake for the fabulous 4th.

We brought these fun water shooters. The kids loved sticking them in the lake, sucking up water and then shooting the closest target.
What they didn't love was getting the same in return.
When we weren't shooting, we were chillin' and getting our tan on.

Hot mama Shawna and hot baby Skye!

The kids played in the back of our truck and then we built a fire and cooked up some smores.

On Friday a storm started to blow through the lake. It was super windy and the lake was like an ocean. Our boat was rocking a lot and water was coming in the front of the boat as each wave hit. It was scary. During that time a boat capsized and sunk. There were 6 people on board and they all got out. It was pretty freaky though the see 12 inches of a boat stinking up out of the water. We got off the lake as fast as we could.
Overall, it was a fun trip and we were together---making lifelong memories.

The Greatest Show on Earth!

The kids had no idea where we were going Saturday afternoon.
That's how I like it.
Then no one bugs me for like 12 years everyday about when we're going to the Circus.
UGH!

When they saw this...

they all looked like this!
Todd is my lover of all animals for sure.
His favorite part was when the elephant disappeared.
Kylee liked all the dancing. She's my dancin' gal.

At the end of all the fun fabulous circus activities we were all smiling!
Mostly because I wanted a family picture and I said, "SMILE!"

What we learned is the circus is a rip off!
We paid $20 a ticket and all we got was a little program and a $7 box of popcorn.
But these happy faces made it all worth it in the end.

The circus really is...(read the sign).
The kids had fun and we had fun taking them.
No, really we did.
I promise.
Even though I just whined about the cost.

How many stuffed animals can you hold?

Kylee holds 6 every night.
Plus her big pink blanket.
Every morning I wake up to her on my bedroom floor.
Plus her 6 "comfy" friends.
How bout that?!?!

Monkeying Around

We celebrated Father's Day on Saturday.
Rocky had been at scout camp for 5 days beforehand.
He was tired, but a trooper for literally dropping the scouts off, jumping in the shower and then heading back out to my parents house.
The kids had fun swimming with him after not seeing him for days.
Especially when Rocky became their human skateboard!

Then Todd and Kylee turned into monkeys.

Parker joined in the fun as well.
They did this for about 30 minutes.
It was fun to watch!

Eatin' cake Abby style. No forks, just fingers.~~~Hannah Bear is such a happy smiley baby.

Uncle Drew being fun.
Uncle Drew also became a daddy Drew.

Meet Nixon Allen Garlock
9 pounds
23 inches long
Check out his huge feet?
And look at those skinny legs.
He totally gets those from me.
Needless to say, Father's Day was fun for everyone!

Big Red

Don't ya know that big red cups are not for drinking?
They are for flamingo cages.
Just ask Todd.
He'll tell ya so.
