Cha cha cha changes!

Good thing dad is joining the Army and will get lots of practice shooting a gun, cuz with this little beauty in the house he may need all that training to chase off all the boys!

So, now it's official! Rocky is joining the
Army National Guard Reserves.
His MOS or job, in case you don't know the lingo, is a truck driver.
A lot of thought, planning and prayers went into this decision. We didn't go into it blindly and we know the hard work and long road it will be. In the end, joining the military is what's best for our family and we're excited to see what lies ahead for us.
He'll be leaving for basic after our baby girl is born, so we're excited he won't miss that as we originally thought.

Worth It

Some days I wonder what the heck was I signing up for?!?!?
But when I look at these little faces I know all the craziness, drama, tears, sassiness, messes, hugs, kisses, and I love you's are worth it.
Being a mom is hard...so much harder than I ever imagined it would be.
And even though I sometimes wish Rocky and I could switch places and I could go to work all day, I wouldn't trade being a mom for anything.
Just some days...

Baby Girl Names

Before we found out we were having a lil lady, we had
a boy's name ready to go.
Cuz remember how I was SURE we were having a boy?
Our boy name was Tate.
We've loved it for a long time and always thought Todd and Tate would be so cute.
We never discussed a girls name.
We were so sure we were having a boy.
So when we found out Todd wasn't getting a brother named Tate, we told him we'd name this baby a "T" name after him.
Since Kamber is a "K" name like Kylee.
Which, by the way, wasn't intentional.
Kamber's name was going to be Ashlynn until an hour before I was going to be induced with her.
It was never on our list, a name we never discussed.
It literally just popped into my head.
Since Todd and Kylee both have double letters at the end we thought we'd do double letters for out 3rd baby.
But that was not what her name was supposed to be.
Kamber fits her.
So, let's get back to why I'm posting this little story.
We don't have any girl names, let alone a T girl name.
Help me get a list going by sharing your favorite T name.
It cannot be Tenley, bc my brother named his baby that and
it can't be Tatum.
I'd love some input!
And hopefully we can name her before we leave the hospital.
We've never had this issue before now.

Birthday Boy

When did this blue eyed, toothless, baldy turn into...
this blue eyed 10 year old with permanent teeth, and hair that he hates having cut short???
Every year it blows my mind how quickly time is flying by!
Todd is such a good helper to me and a good big brother to his sisters.
For the most part he's a really good kid.
Though it frustrates him to no end when his sisters get into his things and mess up his room.
He's very particular about how he likes his things and doesn't like them messed up or out of order.
This is one trait I wish Kylee had!
Her room is out of control!
Because of this, he's a great cleaner-uper.
If you need your bathrooms cleaned come have Todd do them.
You'll be impressed!
He makes the girls breakfast, changes diapers, puts clothes away, vacuums, cleans out the dishwasher, mops the floor...you name it he can do it.
The one thing he hates is cleaning the playroom.
Todd can be feisty, like any kid can be, but he's also very loving and kind.
He LOVES babies and he loves little kids.
Good thing since he's gonna have another sensitive little sister around.
I love that he still lets me hug and kiss him.
He'll always be my best boy!

Baby Girl Turner

This picture says it all...
We are having our 3rd little girl!
I was in shock, to say the least.
I was so sure with ever fiber of my being that this baby was a boy.
And not because I wanted a boy, but because I felt from early on that this baby was a boy.
When the ultrasound tech said girl I had no words...I was so sure.
With Kamber I wanted a boy, didn't necessarily feel like she was a boy, but we wanted a boy.
We didn't find out gender so after I delivered and the nurses said, "It's a girl!" I was secretly so excited she was a girl!
The cuteness of all the girlie outfits and accessories...
I was so excited!
And my pregnancy was pretty identical to Kylee's.
So sick and nauseous till I was about 7 months pregnant.
This time around I wasn't as sick or nauseous as with the girls and overall, my pregnancy was almost the same as with Todd minus all the swelling and high blood pressure.
If I would have paid close attention with Kamber I should have known she was a girl since my pregnancy was identical to Kylee's.
So, I used the same logic this time around and didn't base it on what I wanted.
I was WRONG!
Let's just say I've had to let this sink in for a few days.
Not that I don't want another girl, I was just so sure I was having a boy.
And being so wrong has made me doubt if I have any mother's intuition at all!
Buying a few cute little girlie outfits has made it more real for me.
Since Todd doesn't get his brother, we decided she'll have a "T" name after Todd since Kamber is a "K" name like Kylee.
Though we have no idea what name we'll go with.
There are not as many girl T names as I would like.
I'm sure we'll come up with something.
So that's the story of our 4th and final child!
Todd doesn't get a brother, but does get lots of sisters to love and protect...and a lot of quality time just with dad.
And I get lots of girl time!
Heaven help me!
JK
I do love my girls...all 3 of them!

18 weeks

If I was one of those cute pregnant ladies, I'd totally post a pic of the baby bump.
But sadly, I am not.
Therefore there will be no baby bump photo to share.
But what I do have to share is a little journaling for the future...

How far along? 18 weeks now, almost 19!
Total weight gain/loss: 4 lbs.
Maternity clothes? Oh yes. Had to upgrade from med to lg which means all new maternity clothes. Wasn't very smart of me to not lose the weight after Kamber huh?? Only prego tops. I still can wear my regular pants...without a rubber band!

Stretch marks? Nope.
Best moment this week: Feeling LOTS of movement and even a few kicks! Tried to feel them on with my hand on the outside of my belly, but no luck. Can't share lil baby kicks with anyone just yet.
Miss Anything? So far, so good. I can still sleep on my belly and wear my regular pants.

Movement: Yep, love it.
Food cravings: Reg Pepsi, Micky D's bacon, egg and cheese biscuits with hash browns and strawberry milk shakes. Can't believe I've only gained 4 pounds eating that crap!

Anything making you queasy or sick: Diet Mt. Dew, which is what I live on when I'm not pregnant!
Have you started to show yet:  Yes, since like Day 1!
Gender: My guess is a boy. We'll find out for sure next week.
With Kamber we didn't find out and I was convinced she was a boy. Mostly I think bc Todd and her were already going to be 7 years apart I wanted a boy for him to be somewhat close to. But if I would have paid better attention I should have known she was a girl. Her pregnancy was 98% the same as Kylee's. Let's just say, way sicker with the girls than with Todd. This time around my pregnancy is almost exactly like Todd's. Not nearly as sick. Yes I feel tired and gaggy, but I haven't barfed a lot like with the girls, and I'm pretty much back to feeling normal. With the girls I was barfing at 7 months! So, if my theory is correct, this baby is a boy. Plus about an hour before they called me in to be induced with baby #3 this beautiful name popped into my head. It was a girls name, not a boys name. That should have been my uh huh moment that she was indeed a girl baby, not a boy.
Kamber Rose most definitely was not a boy.
Labor Signs: Nope.
Belly Button in or out? Innie.
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time: It totally depends on the day! ;) But mostly happy.
Worst Part of this pregnancy: I have literally been sick with unrelated pregnancy illnesses since I was 7 or 8 weeks pregnant. It started with a bad chest cough and a UTI. I went to 2 Urgents Care's for meds, but all they ended up giving me was UTI meds that they said would clear up the chest congestion. It didn't. My OB finally gave me some other meds and I did start to feel better for about a week. And then I got a sinus infection which didn't allow for the chest stuff to completely go away. Finally got rid of that, but am still fighting the chest stuff. Then last week I was back at the doc with another UTI. She finally gave me more meds to kick this chest congestion, but of course, I can't take it until the UTI meds are all taken. This is so TMI, but it's for journaling purposes, the worst part about coughing all the time is that I pee my pants every---single---time I cough. Kotex and I have become best of friends these days. I'm seriously so sick of it and I'm hopeful these next round of meds can kick it.
Looking forward to: Finding out what this peanut is! I can't believe I waited last time. It made so many people mad!

So there you have it.
My pregnancy at 18 weeks.
Next week I'll be reporting the flavor of this peanut.

Dirty Work

Todd and Kylee were having fun toting Kamber
 around in the Snugglie carrier.
And Kamber totally let them drag her around like a rag doll.
She looks HUGE in that thing!
I'm thinking they are practicing to carry the new baby
around for me.
Loving that I can get my big kids to do the dirty work for me! ;)
Totally loving that they like to!
