Goals

So, a year ago I became a part of a Health blog where we write our health goals for the week. We strive to hit our 3 stars. It's a good motivation for me to eat healthy, exercise and whatever else I need to do to achieve my health goals. Sometimes I hit all three (which I really like to see), other times, none. It really works for me (most of the time) because I like to challenge myself. I have been setting goals for myself to be a better mom, wife, friend, teacher, student, yada yada. But I haven't written them down. I know the whole New Years resolution is sort of silly, but I need to write them down and strive for those stars. There are so many things I need to do and get done this next coming year since I'll be student teaching. It's always nice a fresh to start with a clean slate each year. These are my goals for the year:

1. Clean everyday.
2. Take my scriptures to church each week.
3. FHE no matter what.
4. Take my kids to the park/pool 2 times a week.
5. Organize!
6. More date nights. They don't always have to cost money...honey! ♥
7. Temple more with Rocky and with friends.
8. Healthier life for all-excercise, eating, sleep.
9. Have more patience with my kids.
10. Spend less money~~~needs or wants.

Each week I'm going to give myself 3 small things to work on to help me achieve these goals. I'll post them on my side bar and at the end of the week record my stars. I want to see three each week, so I'll work hard to get them as well as work hard to become a better me. Lots of times when I fall I take the rest of the week off, sometimes the month. The new me starts new each day. Life is too short to sit around and be sad or lonely because you had a hard day and nothing got done or you didn't achieve your goals. Each day is new, so be sad for a minute. Take a warm relaxing bubble bath, read a good book, listen to calming music, get a good nights sleep and start over.

When i don't do what i intend to do, I sulk a little too. But it's nice to know that tomorrow is a new day.

One date idea is just go on a walk. It only takes about 30 minutes, you get exercise and all you do is talk and/or hold hands. Romantic and free, no? We do that in the not-winter.

Keep your eye on the prize and someday you will get there. Just like sean and the vacuum.

I love the end of this post..."go to sleep and start over the next day." It's so fitting for me today! Whenever goals seem super hard, or I'm just having a hard day...it's so amazing to just go to bed and sleep it off and start over fresh the next morning! Here's to accomplishing our goals!!
