I had to write some dumb paper for the PE class I'm taking right now. This was his feedback:
The tone is not appropriate for academic writing, however you satisfied the rubric. I hope that your writing will improve in the future because I agree with most of what you are saying!
What the heck does that mean? I got a 95 out of 100, so was it really that bad? Come on dude! Must you rip apart everything? I've written plenty of papers in my bazillion years of schooling and no one has ever said my tone is not appropriate for academic writing. I'm so ready to be done!

never fun to have bad feeback. Sounds like a weirdo to me :)
Yeah total weirdo! But 95 out of 100 ain't bad!
Don't ever take it personally! I have learned that they just "have" to find something wrong with it, cause if not then why would we need them!!?? lol Keep it up, it will be over before you know it!!! :0)
LOL, that's a bummer! I would be falling of my chair if I ever got a 95% on a paper!!
Are you kidding me, who says that!
That stinks... he probably just had that already pre-written for another student and just copied and pasted it for your feedback (just a trick of the trade... from what I hear... not that I would ever do such a thing! Yeah right! :)
I remember those days all too well! It sounds like you still did awesome!
What do PE teachers know about the "tone" of an academic paper? Still can't complain about a 95 though.
I think the tone is the most important thing. Gives people a better insight into the author at the emotion of what's being stated... You keep writing the way you want and just know the teacher is loco! But why on Earth would you need to write a paper for PE?
What an odd comment. It makes me think, he really didn't have any rational critique. Take it as a good thing, the man had nothing to say. Great job!!!
I hate when dumb things like this occur! How irritating!!!
