So, I'm not one to get all political. But this election has really got me thinking. I'm scared of the outcome. I have contemplated writing this for a while now and I was heading in the direction to write exactly how I feel personally, but I can't and I won't. What I do want to say is really think about each candidates policies. Who do you feel more comfortable running our country in a serious crisis? Who does have the best interest of all Americans? Some are voting for Obama because he is black. That is not okay. Some are voting for McCain because he was a POW. That is not okay. Vote for someone because they are the best for the job. Ponder and pray about your decision. This decision is HUGE and will effect my family and yours.
So, get out there and vote.
May the best men or wo"man" win!

I totally agree! Are we gonna get together on Wed?
Scares me too Kasey! I think this election will be based on priorities (which I know all of them are), but I feel there is espessially more at stake now!
I already voted and can't wait to see the outcome of this election on many issues, including the presidency. I'm just a bit confused though, what do you mean by may the best woman win? Are you talking about Palin?
Now I get it! You are so clever.
I agree! I am anxious to find out the results for sure! Looks like you have been busy, and as always your kids are so dang cute!
I already voted! Go me!! Very anxious to see the outcome, little nervous too!
*I believe in medical use marijuana
*i believe in controlled welfare.
*I believe in the right to bear arms.
*I believe that Sarah Palin does not have enough experience domestically or more importantly, GLOBALLY to run a country should McCain become President and for some reason or another, cannot run our country.
*I am pro choice as long as rape or incest in the reason for the termination of the pregnancy. Otherwise, I am pro LIFE.
*I LIKE Obama as a man and leader but I have some problems with his policies.
*I am AFRAID McCain will be like Bush and we will have another 4 years of frustration, worst yet, another 8!
*I DO NOT believe in legallizing marriage for homosexuals. I do not want my 5 year old to learn in kindergarden homosexuality (and all the homosexual people I know, which IS A LOT coming from northern Cali feel the same way...as ironic as that is). 5 is too young. If it becomes legal, it will be taught in school just like in MA.
*I do not believe in hunting for sport.
(not like that is a political issue)
*I think the war in Iraq was a BAD idea form the beginning but we must not pull out until we fix all the messes we've started.
*I SUPPORT OUR TROOPS 100% AND HAVE A DEEP LOVE FOR THEM ALL AND KNOW THAT THEIR DEATHS AND HARD LIVING CONDITIONS ARE NOT IN VAIN.
*I believe in the death penalty.
*I have a problem with taxing the rich to help the poor. My parents came to the states from Syria (dad) and Sweden (mom) with $50 to their name and are both now very successful and own their own homes with no mortgage in Northern California. The American dream CAN happen and people need to work hard for it.
* I believe all those who are not blessed to be born in the US should have a fair chance to become citizens here with benefits and all if they prove they can live as quality citizens.
*I believe that teachers should be paid more
*I believe that family is the most important unit in society.
*I believe women should be paid equally to men for the same job.
So as you can see, I have both left AND right views. This election is going to be hard for me. (but I am firm on voting YES on 102) I have problems with both candidates and there are good things also about both.
Also, we went to Texas Roadhouse finally. OH MY GOODNESS YUM!!!!! My new favorite restaurant. We HAVE to go for a girls night SOON! YEEHAW!
Hey kasey, its Sarah Harrold. We've gone out a couple of times with Heather Jones a mutual friend. Anyway , I totally agree with your stand point on this issue! I also am scared! And hope everyone is smart enough to think this through before they put it on paper! I'm glad you posted this.
