Lessons

Rocky giving Kam a lesson about vacuuming.
Thought she should start earning her keep around here!

Todd had to learn playing with cactus was not a good idea.
Me: Why'd you play with cactus?
Todd: I didn't see any pokies.
Had to learn the hard way that some pokies can't
be seen with the naked eye!
Rocky pulled about 100 lil pokies from his hand.
That'll teach him!

It's in the toilet!

The hard water in Queen Creek has really done a number on my toilets! All it took was a $1 pumas pad and 5 minutes of scrubbing.
Now you see it...

now you don't!
Goodbye nasty ring around the toilet!
Hello pretty porcelain throne.

Down time~~~good for me!

Todd all comfy at his spot on the laptop.
Kylee all comfy at the desktop.
(Forgive the clutter at my desk. I'm still a work in progress!)
Good thing we have 2 computers here.
My kids have been LOVING playing Nick Jr.
I've been loving it because I've been able to get so much done.
Like a total overhaul in my bedroom Friday!
Now, I don't condone playing the computer all day,
but this day~~~heck yes!
They are not much for helping me organize my closet and folding laundry.

For my viewing pleasure

My sink and my table have been clean for 5 whole days. That's huge for me! It's been really nice coming downstairs in the morning without ciaos staring me in the face. My days have been a little smoother. So, now that I got that part down...I moved onto my bedroom.
I did not take before pictures because my laundry took over my room. I did get everything folded and put away. Imagine my surprise when I found all my kids socks I knew I had somewhere! I also decluttered the night stands, organized my closet and went through our clothes. 2 bags of trash and 2 bags for donation. A also realized I drink a lot of bottled waters. I tossed about 15 empty bottles that made their home under my bed. This may be a little TMI, but I feel like a new women I wanted to document my success.

Step One-Baby Steps

Anyone who knows me knows I have a hard time keeping up with my dishes and my laundry. I was 100% overwhelmed on Saturday as my kitchen table, counters, sink and the mountain of laundry in my room was about the swallow me. I didn't know where to start. I was seriously about to leave and ignore the problem. My mom stepped in and came over to help me. When I let my house go for even a minute I have a hard time finding a starting point. My friend gave me a book called "Sink Reflections" by Marla Cilley AKA The Fly Lady. I started reading it on Friday morning and when my mom came over she told me I need to do the Fly Lady. That was my cue ~~~baby steps~~~shine the kitchen sink. That's where we started and that's what I have continued to do each night before I go to bed as per The Fly Lady has asked me to do. I know she wrote the book just for me. So far it has helped motivate me to keep it up. I'm still a work in progress, but I'm hoping I can keep it up and maybe my crazy life won't feel so crazy. Any tips would be greatly appreciated!
