Worth It

 

Some days I wonder what the heck was I signing up for?!?!?

But when I look at these little faces I know all the craziness, drama, tears, sassiness, messes, hugs, kisses, and I love you's are worth it. 

Being a mom is hard...so much harder than I ever imagined it would be.

And even though I sometimes wish Rocky and I could switch places and I could go to work all day, I wouldn't trade being a mom for anything.

Good thing we have 2 computers here.
My kids have been LOVING playing Nick Jr.
I've been loving it because I've been able to get so much done.
Like a total overhaul in my bedroom Friday!
Now, I don't condone playing the computer all day,
but this day~~~heck yes!
They are not much for helping me organize my closet and folding laundry.

Zoom Zoom

Todd got this fabulous bike for his birthday.
I didn't want Kylee to be left out, so she got one too.
I did wait to give it to her a day later so his day would be special.
Aren't I a nice mom?
I thought so too.
They love riding in front of our house and especially to the park. I had to get them bikes while the weather is so nice. Pretty soon it's going to be sizzlin' hot!
Yes, yes, I know most kids have bikes by now and most 6 year old don't need training wheels, but I'm a little slow. I chalk it up to....ok, no excuses. I don't even have a good one!

Cheap Thrills

Tonight we watched our friends little boy while they went out for some adult birthday fun! He's so much fun and the kids had a fun time playing with him. Kylee found the bubbles and wanted to play. The two of them laughed and laughed! I love little children's laughter. There is nothing sweeter!

It was a great night, especially after I got good clearance deals at Target and Wal-Mart for next year. Can't wait! Maybe next year will really feel like Christmas.

Am I the only one that had a hard time feeling it this year? Maybe I was too busy. I don't know. Next year though, I will so be graduated!

Things that made me smile today!

The kids started soccer this month. I have to say that 3 year olds playing soccer is the cutest thing I have ever seen! They run and run, or run and stand in front of the ball then kick, or they all run towards the ball at the same time. Their little buns running down the field is just too much for me! Kylee is actually pretty good for being the tiniest one on her team.

It took this one a little while to decide he liked running and kicking the ball. He's my shy boy for sure! Boy is he having fun now!
This afternoon while Rocky was mowing the lawn, Todd picked me some flowers. I'll take them and his dirty smile any day! It's cool enough for jackets. Yes, it is the middle of October! Jackets are a welcome clothing item for sure. This week anyways. It's supposed to warm back up. But we'll take what we can get.

My son, the concoction thinker upper. Every flower needs a place inside a straw and on the garbage can right?
