Date Nights Renewed

Rocky and I went on a date on Friday.
I'm not gonna lie...It's been a long while.
We went with our friends that moved out of the ward a few months ago.
Olive Garden with good friends was just what we both needed.
I think I forgot what it was like to converse with adults, especailly my husband, and realize how much I have missed being young and in love.
We should do it a whole lot more for sure!
So, what are your ideas for fun and exciting date nights with the hubby?
Since we'll be "dating" more I need some good ideas.

2 Birds, 1 Stone

Friday night I got to do 2 of my most favorite things!
A bunch of us got together for dinner and a movie.
First we ate at Native.
Company was great, service not so much.
Moving on.
Then we sent the boys to G.I. Joe.
Us girls headed to Time Traveler's Wife.
It was a super fun night.
A little date night and GNO all rolled into one.
That's how I like it!
Can't wait for the next one!
Date night or GNO.
Which ever comes first is fine with me!

Girls will play...while the boys are away!

Thanks to my Grami I can finally upload pictures! Thanks so much!
Rocky took Todd with him on his scout camp out, so Kylee and I did girlie things. First there was food at Applebees!

Kylee was being silly because she's 3 and it's cute to hide in the bushes and lay on the ledge in silver shoes and polka dot jackets. Just ask her.

We had salad. It was good! I promise that is what she asked for!

Then we bought some cute star shoes at Payless and went to Target in search of comfy jammies. When we got home we changed into our new finds and painted our toe nails. That's what girlies do!

Then she crashed in my arms. I loved it!
Thanks my sweet girl for the fun night! Those boys can go anytime so we can do more nights like this!

Fun Friday

Tonight my SIL, Heidi had all the kids over to her place for a party so we could go on a date night. Todd wasn't feeling so swell, so we stayed pretty close in case we needed to pick him up. We decided to eat at California Pizza Kitchen, AKA~~~CPK. It was delish! We shared lettuce wraps and then a pizza. Half was tomato and basil and the other half was chicken and mango with a yummy spicy curry sauce. It was so yummy I'm ready to go back and get some more. Then we headed to Kirklands. I got some cute frames. I've been in this house for 2 years, I think it's time for some decorating! Then Bath and Body for some more bubble bath and yummy hand soap. Can't beat their sale right now. $3 for most items. Storables was next. That was a fun little store. Then Anthropology. Holy expensive! Don't worry, we so walked out empty handed. Deseret Book was a calling my name. I got a few books. Then a pit stop at my parents. While we were there we got the phone call we knew we'd get. Todd had fallen asleep at like 7pm, then woke up crying and asking for us. He had a fever and just didn't feel good. We went and got him a little after 8pm and that was our night. Nothing ever works out how you expect, but we did get to go on a date even if our night was cut short. Hopefully he's feeling better so we can go for a little over nighter for the holiday. Sorry that was long. If you read the whole thing you totally deserve a cookie! So head over to Paradise and get you one. I don't bake cookies. Sorry.

Oregano's

A few weeks ago we celebrated my SIL Heidi's birthday at Oregano's. I had always heard it was off the hook yummy and had always wanted to try it. Needless to say, I was not disappointed!

Noel, Sean and Suzy's little girl was so funny and cute all night!
Rocky and I really enjoyed our pizza!
All the girls: Heather, Suzy, me, Mel (who just got hitched!), and the birthday girl Heidi.

The whole gang having a good time. Don't worry Oregano's! We'll be back soon!

Very Rare Occasion

I don't know about the rest of you, but Rocky and I don't hardly ever get a spare moment to ourselves. These past two weekends, we found ourselves on a date.
2 weeks ago, Rocky's dad gave us sweet seats to the
Diamond Backs game.
We were so close to the green is was awesome!
Then on Saturday night we played volleyball with a whole bunch of couples at the park and had homemade ice cream.
I forgot what a date was like. I liked it.
Honey, let's do this more often!
