Mushy Schmushy

I lucked out with Rocky.
He puts up with more from me than I probably deserve.
And I put up with his Xbox playing.
But that's besides the point...
I'm totally thankful that he became a permanent part of my life when he did.
We were friends for a year before we dated for 3 days
and decided to get married.
During that year we saw each other's crazy relationships.
Often times giving each other advice to dump the ding dong!
Because of this, we both saw each other in all different lights and I think that has helped us in our marriage a lot.
I'm pretty sure I didn't keep my best foot forward all the time, because I wasn't trying to impress him and wanting him to like me.
He married me.
The real me.
And he loves that about me.
And I love that about him.
Though I am more flawed than he is I'm sure!
So, I love this man.
And I know he was hand picked for me.

Mother's Day

We had a fun Mother's Day! I'm glad I got to spend it with all my favorite moms!

Cousin Kassie, my Grami, me, my sister Shawna, my Mom, my SIL Tiffany, and my Auntie Darla.

Here are a few of the midgets of some of the moms I love.

They played out back and got so grubby and dirty.

Only a mom can truly love faces like that!

* * * * * * * * *

I truly love being a mom, even though it's hard...like a lot hard!

My kids are my joys in life.

They make me laugh, cry, wanna throw things sometimes.

I love their kisses, their snuggles, the cute pictures they draw me.

Even when they say my butt is big and pat my tummy and say I'm having a baby.

We have fun everyday! They crack me up, they crack each other up.

The ups and downs of motherhood is sometimes more than I bargained for, but I know in the end they will be my friend for much longer than they were crazy kids.

I can't wait for that and these childhood years will be a mere memory!

I'm glad they chose me to be their mom.

I could not have asked for better kids.
Happy Mother's Day to all you moms!

Cute cousins

Kylee and Parker at the beach Nov 2007.
This picture came up today on our computer slide show.
It made me smile and super excited for Mexico coming up in a few weeks.
Who's coming to party with us?!?!

Oh Mexico

The other night I was talking to my mom and we planned our next Mexico trip! We love going to Mexico and making fun memories with our kids. We've been going so long I can't remember what life was like before it. All I know is we love going. Monkey loves it too! I love the way my kids smile when they get to be all dirty and play in the sand and the ocean all day long. Who needs food! Suckers and Mexican ice cream is all a kid needs! Ok, it's all a mom needs too, and street tacos~~~YUM!
BTW, we love it when new families come with us, so consider yourself invited!
***So, I have yet to post so many fun things since Christmas. Truth be told, I can't find my camera cord and our laptop is not allowing me to upload pictures from my memory card to blogger. I'm going to try to get it figured out because I'm getting sick of my rants and Memory Monday. I need something new and exciting so I'm sure you all do too! A real post is coming.

Family Matters

Angie (Rocky's cousin), me and Heather

Rocky's girl cousins are great! I knew it before we were even dating because I was friends with his sister Heather first as well as being friends with their cousins. Now, it was not always an easy thing getting in the good graces of his girl cousins. They liked very few, ok, they didn't like one, not one of his girlfriends. When they started telling me I should date Rocky I knew I was in! It's a very good feeling being on the in with the girls cousins. They could be mean! Thanks Keri and Angie for giving me that extra push to date your cousin! I'm so in love. I'm so glad that they still like me and we're all still friends after 8 years of marriage! Our husbands even like each other so that's a plus!

Fun Friday

Tonight my SIL, Heidi had all the kids over to her place for a party so we could go on a date night. Todd wasn't feeling so swell, so we stayed pretty close in case we needed to pick him up. We decided to eat at California Pizza Kitchen, AKA~~~CPK. It was delish! We shared lettuce wraps and then a pizza. Half was tomato and basil and the other half was chicken and mango with a yummy spicy curry sauce. It was so yummy I'm ready to go back and get some more. Then we headed to Kirklands. I got some cute frames. I've been in this house for 2 years, I think it's time for some decorating! Then Bath and Body for some more bubble bath and yummy hand soap. Can't beat their sale right now. $3 for most items. Storables was next. That was a fun little store. Then Anthropology. Holy expensive! Don't worry, we so walked out empty handed. Deseret Book was a calling my name. I got a few books. Then a pit stop at my parents. While we were there we got the phone call we knew we'd get. Todd had fallen asleep at like 7pm, then woke up crying and asking for us. He had a fever and just didn't feel good. We went and got him a little after 8pm and that was our night. Nothing ever works out how you expect, but we did get to go on a date even if our night was cut short. Hopefully he's feeling better so we can go for a little over nighter for the holiday. Sorry that was long. If you read the whole thing you totally deserve a cookie! So head over to Paradise and get you one. I don't bake cookies. Sorry.

UGH

Why am I up looking at blogs! Tomorrow church starts at 8am for us. It'll be nice to be done by 11am, but come on! I can barely get Todd to school by 8 am and I just roll out of bed and take him. This will be a huge trial for me this year. Hopefully I can over come and and get me and the kids there on time. Rocky has to be 15 minutes early to help the boys set up for sacrament. We may be taking 2 cars.
A real update coming soon. Like when we went to Polar Express a month ago, Temple lights, family parties, Christmas, New Years. You know, the fun stuff. Who wants to hear me rant? Too bad. It's my blog and I'll whine if I want to!

Tis the Season

I hope that this holiday we can all remember what Christmas is really about. The birth of Christ and his amazing story. We were able to watch a short Nativity tonight and the kids just watched it in awe. It still amazes me that no one was willing to help Mary and Joseph when they needed it the most. I love reading the Christmas story and teaching my children the true meaning of Christmas. It's fun to get gifts and all, but it's giving, helping those in need, being cheerful, helpful, Christ like that really brings you the most joy. Hopefully we can continue this well past Christmas, because we should be kind and caring this year round. Christmas time is just a nice reminder.

Merry Christmas to all~~~and to all a good night!
